Istituto di Vigilanza La Patria has developed an access control system for companies and factories that monitors the movement of employees and visitors within specific areas through radio frequency identification systems with a range of several meters. These high-tech systems enable devices and passes to be recognized by means of electronic smart cards.
The service is currently active across an area of 230 municipalities in Lombardy, in addition to 123 municipalities in Emilia Romagna, above all in the provinces of Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Piacenza, Milan, Varese, Monza Brianza and Novara.
Data collection for company access records
The access control systems utilize data collected from electronic smart cards, making it possible to compile an accurate record of arrivals and departures, with detailed information, including data on any visits to specific interiors and areas.
Integration with mechatronic devices
The integration of access control systems with mechatronic devices installed at the company entrance can be used to authorize the opening of vehicle barriers in the case of positive response, or, in the case of non-recognition, automatic blocking by access restriction systems. On the arrival of a car or any other vehicle at the company premises, the presence of an enabled device in the compartment will permit the automatic opening of the vehicle barrier, making identification operations faster and safer.
Rapid intervention in case of burglary
In the event of a break-in or violation of the predefined perimeter, La Patria’s notification and alarm systems, linked to the Operations Centres which are operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, immediately activate the functions arranged for monitoring and, if enabled, the rapid response of area patrols, which are widely distributed across the area to ensure timely intervention for the protection of companies, assets and employees.
